Paul Bert Elvström, born 1928, is a Danish sailor who, beside from being the first to win gold in four Olympic Games in a row, (1948, 1952, 1956, 1960) also won the World Championships 15 times in eight different kinds of boats. Elvström is also well-known as a successful constructor and developer of sails and ship equipment, and has started a business which sells masts, spars and sails. He has helped develop different rules for international boat races and in 1996 he was awarded the prestigious title "Danish athlete of the Century".

Lemania started producing "Regatta" in association with Elvström in the 1980's. The watch has coloured circles that changes from blue to red and finally black. The function is used as a start timer to count down time in sailing races. The watch has been made with a variety of dials and could be bought with either a leather strap or metal bracelet.
