Buyer's fees
Kaplans Auktioner charges the buyer a premium of 20 %, VAT included. This applies for both auction items and shop items. For each item purchased at auction we also charge a hammer fee of SEK 50 including VAT.
Example
You make the winning bid for an item at SEK 10 000.
The amount to pay is calculated in the following way: SEK 10 000 + SEK 2 000 + SEK 50 = SEK 12 050.
Staircase
If the price exceeds SEK 200 000, we use the following staircase at all auctions and in our store:
Up to 200 000 SEK: 20 % of the price
200 000 - 500 000 SEK: 10 % on the excess
Above 500 000 SEK: 5 % on the excess
Example
You have won an item for 750 000 SEK.
200 000 * 20 % = 40 000 SEK
300 000 * 10 % = 30 000 SEK
250 000 * 5 % = 12 500 SEK
Total buyer's premium = 82 500 SEK
The hammer fee is 50 SEK.
